About The Rover P6 Club

rp6c logo The Rover P6 Club

The Club was born in 1993 under the name of The Rover P6 Drivers Club and in 2008 celebrated it's 15th birthday just as our beloved P6's celebrated the 45th anniversary since the launch and start of production cars. Now just as The Rover Company stayed on the cutting edge of modern developments, so to the Club has moved into the 21st century and in 2005 the Club was re-branded as THE ROVER P6 CLUB because it was felt that we were more than just drivers, we are drivers, owners and enthusiasts, keen to preserve a piece of British Heritage.

The event manager of the St Patrick’s parade in Birmingham has emailed us. He say that the event attracts over 100,000 spectators each year around an iconic route via Selfridges and St Martins and last year the inclusion of some historical cars and iconic motor vehicles in the parade drew huge interest. He asks if anyone of you are interest in taking part in this year's event to be held on Sunday 14th March - it is very straightforward no fees - just a registration form.

RP6C ANNIVERSARY RALLY, BEAMISH MUSEUM

16/05/2010 - 09:01
16/05/2010 - 17:30
Etc/GMT

RP6C Logo    The Rover P6 Club's Anniversary Rally 2010 will take place at the Beamish Museum on Sunday 16th May 2010. Our team in the north east have secured a supreme deal for us, for the day. Entry is normally £16.00 per adult and £10.00 for children, but our team have negotiated the special rate of £15.00 for the car, driver and one passenger. Each subsequent passenger to be charged at £7.50 which represents a massive saving on normal prices. Well done team! Entry to the event is strictly by advance bookings, so don't leave it to the last minute and I'm afraid if you turn up on the day having not booked in, you'll find yourself on the car park. Beamish rules also restrict movement of vehicles on site after 0930hrs until 1600hrs, so get there early and enjoy a full day, there is absolutely loads to see and do. Rally plaques will not be given out until after 1600hrs.  "There will be a couple of trophies as well... so get polishing! or not as the case maybe!!!!!!! "     More details to follow about what is planned for the day but in the meantime you can get booked by downloading the  printable entry form, filling it in and send it off with a cheque to the address on the form. Don't forget the SAE. This event is open to all Rover Cars but unfortunately not 4x4's (sorry not our ruling).

P6 in the Snow

P6 in the Snow

If you have to go out in the bad weather in the UK, make sure you are prepared. It's a good idea to take certain items in the car with you like, a spade, a blanket, warm & hi visibility clothing, gloves, sturdy shoes or boots, a drink, something to eat (sweets and chocolate are recommended) and a torch. Plus make sure that your mobile is fully charged and if possible take a car phone charger with you. It's also a good idea to let someone else know where you are going and what time you expect to be there. But most of all, ask yourself 'is my journey necessary?'  And if it is, above all 'let's be careful out there!'

Joint Rover Clubs venture

The Rover P6 Club is involved in a venture with several other Rover inspired car clubs in a spirit of joint cooperation to promote the future of not only P6’s but all cars carrying the Rover badge. The main areas of cooperation include events, insurance, commonality and most importance, cost efficiency, while at all times maintaining club independence. The first area that will be publicly visible is that of events and we have several joint events planned for 2010. These will be made known shortly with the introduction of a joint events diary on a dedicated webpage, so watch this space for more information over the coming weeks.
