For a one of payment of £10.00 members can now have their very own @p6club.com address. So what! I here you cry!!

Not only will it show everyone how keen you are on the Rover P6, It's a feature that will benefit anyone who swaps service providers, remember all the hassle you had last time you changed, letting all your friends and colleagues know, and even now you still have to check your old account once in a while. Your p6club.com email address is what's known as a forwarding account, here's how it works.

You choose an @p6club.com address, it could be your name i.e. fred.bloggs@p6club.com your registration No. i.e. yxc826k@p6club.com, or anything else, providing it ends in @p6club.com and it's not already in use. We then set up a redirection to your existing account i.e. fred.bloggs@aol.com. All your existing mail still arrives and you continue to use your existing ISP's mail servers.

Q. So how do I send and receive mail from my new account?

A. I'm glad you asked. Once we've received your application and set up the forwarding we will send an email to your new @p6club.com address. At the moment we have to do this stage by hand but it should be set-up within twelve hours. Once you've got the email follow these simple steps. The instructions will be duplicated in the email we send you.

If you use Microsoft outlook express:

Open Outlook Express and select the menu item tools. Next click the Accounts option. Press the 'mail' tab and select your current account, usually marked default..
Highlight the account and click properties. Change the email address to your new @p6club.com address Then click OK.

If you use Netscape messenger.

Open Netscape and press the edit menu item. Next click the preferences option. From there open The Mail and Newsgroup section. Click the Identity tab. Change the email address to your new @p6club.com address. Click OK.

If you use another service and need assistance please email robert.pinner@p6club.com he'll do what he can to help you.

You will still receive mail to your account and will now transmit and receive mail from your new @p6club.com address.

If in the future you decide to change ISP let us know your new 'proper' email address and we'll redirect your p6club.com mail. As long as your still a member there will be no charge for this change, however if your membership has lapsed we may make a small charge of £3.00 to cover our administration.

Once notified we will update our server, within an hour of the change all mail addressed to your @p6club.com address will reach your new ISP. Isn't that easier than letting everyone in your address book and all the newsgroups etc that you subscribe to know you've got a new address.

To sign up follow this link [1]. As mentioned this service is only offered to members, to proceed you will have to enter the current username and password as listed in Driving Force.
