RP6C 20th & Rover P6 50th Anniversary

In 2013 we will be celebrating the 50th Anniversary since the start of production and the launch of the Rover P6. And also it is the 20th Anniversary of our club, The Rover P6 Club.

The first Rover 2000 came off the production line on 23rd January 1963 and although this was an 'off-tools' prototype and badged as a 'Talago' it was very quickly followed by more and by the time the cars were launched to the public in October 1963, there were a great many more Rover 2000's at the factory in Solihull. The Rover 2000 (P6) was unvieled to the public at the 1963 Earls Court Motor Show and stars of the show were the two gold coloured P6's, chassis number 400-00100A and 400-00101A. The former is still alive and will hopefully be at the celebration event in 2013 to celcebrate it's own 50th Birthday.

The Celebration event will include several special visits and a tour as well as a static display on the sunday. This is a 'Must Attend' event for any Rover enthusiast and definitely for any P6 therefore please make sure you put the dates in your diary and bookmark this page for updates as they arrive.

see you there!
