The 2006 Classic Motor Show at the NEC Birmingham was the venue for the first Classic Car Clinic hosted by television's Mark Evans and Mike Brewer. The Classic Car Clinic was all about owning, restoring and using classic cars and the club scene connected to them. The Rover P6 Club was one of three clubs approached sometime before the event to supply a car for each day the show was open to the public and this we did along with a MG from the MG owners club and a Citroen from the Citroen Club. The first day was covered by Les and Val Duggins in their 5 speed 3500S ex Hants Police car
and the Saturday and Sunday was covered by Dixon and Janice Sheppard with their beatiful family owned 2200SC , here picturedwith Mark Evans and Mike Brewer.
Mark and Mike started by asking questions about the owniership of a Rover P6 to Dixon and then went on to ask about the restoration of a P6 and the club scene, where our very own Maria Gray jumped in and took over giving all the right answers. Maria is pictured while answering Mike's questions in front of the live theatre audience of around 1000 people.
Then Mark Evans carrys on the chat with some of the text which we had supplied prior to the event. Dixon is pictured here looking at his car proudly while Mark talks.
And finally our very own Angie in her Seventies gear, simulates an arrest by hand-cuffing really good sport Mike Brewer. Well done Mike and thanks for a great three days.
