American and hot rod car meet at Mudeford

Please could you inform your members in the Dorset/Hampshire area of the monthly classic, American and hot rod car meet at Mudeford quay in Christchurch, Dorset. It’s on every 2nd Sunday of the month right through the year and as it’s a casual meet there’s no booking in advance, just turn up on the day from 2pm onwards. New Branch Meeting

I've just become the regional rep for the SD1 Club, Cambs, Herts and Beds region.I'm looking into setting up a regional meet, probably at a pub somewhere off the A428 between Cambridge and Bedford. AGM 2008

The Rover P6 Club Annual General Meeting is booked for the 23rd November 2008.

This years meeting will be held at the Severn Valley Railway Meeting Rooms, Kidderminster and will commence at 12.00 o'clock sharp. The meeting is open to all club members and we would appreciate a call or email to let us know that you are attending, and if you have any agenda items.

Drive It Day

Don't forget we have three events within the club for DRIVE IT DAY. So there is no excuse to not drive it after all thats what we have them for isn't it?

Theres a chance to visit the Vauxhall Heritage centre with Craig. There is a road run and Holker Hall museum visit with Lawrence. And finally there is the Charity Road Run out into the North Shropshire and South Staffordshire countryside in aid of Katharine House Hospice.

The later is a 90 mile round trip with an idillic place for a lunch/picnic stop. (and its a little place in Rover's history, but you will not find out what it is unless you join in)

Norfolk & Norwich Rover Owners Club

I have been asked by the Chairman of the Norfolk and Norwich Rover Owners Club to put a link on our website to them. He says:-

"We are a small local Rover club formed in 1975 for P4 cars only, but as time has progressed the club now caters for all Rovers up to and including SD1. The club holds its annual rally at Bressingham Steam Museum in Norfolk. At present the club membership is around 25 and they don't have a website, so anyone who is interested in joining with them should contact the Chairman"

New Law about mobiles

(Changed this week)

Are you aware that driving with a mobile phone now results in 3 POINTS on your license AND a £60 FINE?

(It used to be just a £30 fine - The new law came in to effect last week)

Ali Pali 2007

We had stand Number C17 at the London International Classic Car Show at Ali Pali held 24&25 february 2007. Set up was on the Fiday 23/02/2007 and all went smoothly. The event was superb and we took plenty of new members and had visits fom plenty of exsisting members.
